Face shape calculator,
quiz & style tools.
Find your face shape without uploading a photo: enter four measurements in the calculator or use a mirror for the guided quiz. Compare nearby profiles and explore hairstyles, glasses, beard and makeup ideas.
Four measurements. A clearer picture.
Use a straight-on photo and measure straight spans with a ruler on the image. Use the same unit for all four values. Do not follow the curve of your skin or double a chin-to-ear distance.
These transparent styling rules have not been validated as a scientific classification. Hairline-based measurements can differ from the photo analyzer’s landmark-based spans.
No ruler? Start with the mirror.
Pull your hair away from your face. Look straight ahead in even light and choose the closest description. This quiz reflects your observations; it does not measure your face.
A style starting point. Yours to interpret.
Hairstyle ideas for oval faces
Try a textured crop, a relaxed bob, or layers that follow your natural texture. Choose length by your routine, not a rule.
These are optional styling ideas. Hair texture, comfort, personal taste, and daily upkeep come first. This is not a virtual try-on.
Between two shapes? That’s normal.
Face shapes are overlapping descriptions. Compare the outline and styling ideas without trying to force your face into a single box.
Oval
A longer outline with a gradual taper toward the chin.
Try this with your hair
Try a textured crop, a relaxed bob, or layers that follow your natural texture. Choose length by your routine, not a rule.
Round
A relatively compact outline with soft transitions at the jaw.
Try this with your hair
If you want a longer-looking silhouette, try a little height at the crown or an off-center part. A rounded bob is also an intentional choice.
Which face shape tool should you use?
Use the manual calculator if you can measure face length, upper-face width, cheekbone width and jaw width consistently. The face measurement guide explains where to place each span and how the ratios work. Choose the quiz when you prefer to describe what you see; answers are subjective, so compare the suggested profile with the seven shape guides.
If your calculator and photo results disagree, check the measurement points before changing your styling plans. The accuracy guide explains why photographs, hair and overlapping categories can change a result. Neither method is a scientifically definitive classification.
